Building Systems Engineer - Reading, PA

Entech is currently looking to add to our growing team of dedicated professionals and we have an exciting opportunity for a Building Systems Engineer to work out of our corporate office in Reading, Pennsylvania.

We are seeking someone with 5-10 years of experience in HVAC and Plumbing Design capable of leading those portions of a multi-discipline design project. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to mechanical system design, building simulation/energy modeling (preferably HAP or Trace), field survey, data analysis, and report writing. A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, an EIT, excellent written and oral communication skills, advanced knowledge of Excel, working knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD, and a valid driver’s license are required to be considered for this position. This is an excellent opportunity and a challenging position for an engineer seeking a wide variety of projects and clients.

Senior Pipeline Engineer - Reading, PA

Entech is currently looking to add to our team of dedicated professionals. We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pipeline Engineer to work within our Marcellus Shale/Utica team based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Reading, PA on existing and new projects in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. Future relocation within the Pennsylvania, Ohio, or West Virginia tri-state area maybe possible, if desired. Responsibilities will include: direction, oversight, and quality control for design of upstream and midstream projects; management of technical aspects of projects to ensure completion of tasks will comply with applicable regulatory statutes and construction schedules; client management.

The successful candidate will have an extensive background in managing gas pipeline projects, including knowledge in the design and construction of pipelines, compressor stations and meter stations. They must understand the management processes needed to execute multiple projects and the requirements of project controls to properly report progress and forecast remaining work.

Significant experience in the following areas is required:

  • Demonstrated expertise of word documents and spreadsheets
  • Pipeline fluid flow rate and volume calculations
  • Demonstrated awareness of safety in the design, construction, and operation of pipelines
  • Development of pipeline alignment sheets with drafting support personnel
  • Master of regulatory codes (B31.4; B31.8) and recommended practices for pipeline design
  • Oil & Gas industry engineering design, procurement, and construction
  • Wall thickness calculations and all relevant variables for cost effective pipe selection
  • DOT Class Location determinations for pipelines
  • Managing EPC projects as well managing and maintaining smaller projects

Knowledge of the following is desired:

  • Preparation of equipment specifications and data sheet creation
  • Knowledge of drawing requirements for station layouts, piping plans, PFD's and P&ID's
  • Buoyancy control for pipeline installation
  • Directional drill design and other crossing methods for pipelines
  • Demonstrated awareness of surveying, environmental issues for permitting and construction
  • Pipeline right-of-way requirements and mitigation of barriers for acquisition
  • Development of field procedures for pipeline construction, purging, packing, dehydrating
  • Development of project scopes, execution plans, cost estimates, and scheduling
  • Construction scheduling, cost monitoring, management, and general project control

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, an active PE license in the state of Pennsylvania, at least 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, excellent written and oral communications skills, the ability to travel, and a valid driver’s license are required to be considered for this position.

Senior Pipeline Router - Pittsburgh (Moon Township), PA

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pipeline Router to work within our Marcellus Shale/Utica team based out of our Pittsburgh (Moon Township), PA on existing and new projects in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for pre-construction routing of pipelines given constructability constraints along with input from landowner and environmental requirements.
  • Work with client land manager to iteratively revise pipeline alignment.
  • Coordinate, schedule and oversee pipeline routers/surveyors in conjunction with land acquisition schedules to insure construction schedules for projects will be met.
  • Coordinate, produce and manage project required mapping (preliminary, construction and as-built maps).
  • Supervise routing and/or survey crews, and mapping staff as necessary.
  • Requires travel to job locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of applicable experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute many tasks at once
  • Must have proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, or Geology would be an advantage, but is not required.

Mechanical Engineer/MEP Analyst - Reading, PA

We are looking for an individual who holds a BS in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in facilities analysis, design, and cost estimating to perform facility condition assessments of building systems. A solid understanding of mechanical design, electrical systems, and plumbing systems is a must to succeed in this position. In addition, the candidate must have working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to travel overnight approximately 25% of the time. A current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a federal government background check are required to be considered for this position. An EIT working towards his/her PE is preferred. Cost estimating, knowledge of US Cost Software, and experience working in the A&E consulting industry a plus.
