Congregation Rodeph Shalom
Building Restoration
Entech assisted the Congregation Rodeph Shalom with a program to renovate their historic synagogue located on Broad Street in downtown Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The multi-phase project involved general, mechanical and electrical renovations. Entech’s mechanical and electrical services included replacing the facility chilled water system and the electric service, as well as restoring the sanctuary. Construction documents were prepared to replace the sanctuary air handler units, improve air distribution, and update power distribution. The combination sanitary and storm drainage system was also upgraded by separating the systems. Electrical work included the updating of classroom wiring.
This project, performed in cooperation with Becker Winston Architects, was awarded the 2006 Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia Achievement Award as well as the 2006 Pennsylvania AIA Preservation Award for our combined efforts in the restoration and upgrade of this extraordinary Byzantine Revival Sanctuary.
