Anne Arundel County Maryland
Entech conducted a comprehensive FCA in Anne Arundel County located in Maryland. The assessment encompassed the investigation of over 180 buildings in 19 city/town locations, totaling over 3.2 million square feet of building space. Upon completion of the investigative process, Entech’s FCA team entered the survey information into a customized database specifically designed for AAC.
A major benefit of the assessment was the development of a database that effectively inventories and prioritizes building deficiencies and relative costs for repairs. The intent of the database is to provide Anne Arundel County, Maryland with a new resource that will, at any time, quantify the magnitude and relative priority of capital needs required to appropriately maintain the value of Anne Arundel County’s facilities as assets. The need to treat facilities as an asset that can either appreciate or depreciate in value demands the use of management tools that can be employed to effectively measure the current condition of a client’s facilities.
With over $73 million of deferred maintenance, capital improvements, and capital renewal projects identified, the buildings had a replacement value of over $392 million.
