Facility Condition Assessment

Temple University Health System Philadelphia, PA

As a result of Temple University’s satisfaction with our Facilities Condition Assessment (FCA) services at the Main Campus and Science and Medical School, The Temple University Health System also asked for an evaluation of their properties in 2004. Close to 1,300 projects were developed, budgeted at $322 million.

Solution Details

Temple Hospital, Jeanes Hospital, Temple East (previously Northeastern Hospital), and Episcopal Hospital, along with their grounds and infrastructure, were surveyed. The four sites consisted of 58 facilities totaling 6,320,412 square feet.

In 2007, Episcopal Hospital asked Entech to provide assessment and additional consultation in regard to future considerations for two of their significantly dilapidated structures.

In 2009, conferences were held with all four Temple University Health Systems sites to update the scope and costs for their capital plan.

In 2010, an FCA was performed for Jeanes Hospital’s Physicians Office Building. This assessment resulted in $1.5 million in capital renewal projects.
