What is Exploring Engineering?
Exploring Engineering is a program designed for teenage boys and girls to find out first-hand what real engineers do, through hands-on activities and demonstrations, to decide if engineering is a career they may want to pursue.

Who can participate?
Exploring Engineering is for high school students. Parents are encouraged to stay for meetings.
How often do you meet?
We typically meet once a month from the fall through late spring for 1.5 hours. Each meeting will cover a different facet of engineering, through hands-on actives, tours, discussions, and presentations. Schedules, once published are available below.
Is there a cost?
Yes. The Exploring program is a branch of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). To participate in a post, you must be a member of the BSA, which costs $45. Entech Engineering does not charge any additional fees.
Where does the exploring post meet?
We have two Explorer Post program locations: Reading, PA and Pottsville, PA.
Reading, PA
Meetings
Meetings will be held at Entech’s corporate headquarters (201 Penn Street, Suite 300, Reading, PA 19601), unless otherwise noted. Get directions
Parking
Since the Explorer Post meets after normal business hours, parking is available in the two employee parking lots for the building for Free.
Pottsville, PA
Meetings
Meetings will be held at Entech’s Pottsville Office (500 North Centre Street, N. Centre Plaza, Suite 101A, Pottsville, PA 17901), unless otherwise noted. Get directions
Parking
Free on-street parking is available after 5pm.
Schedules
Schedules have are not available yet. Each exploring engineering post location will meet once per month October-May.
Joining
In the fall we'll host kickoff meetings at each location. There, we’ll give an overview of the program to both parents and students and afterward have the paperwork on-hand to join our Explorer Post. If you can’t make the kickoff meeting or the date has already passed, but want to participate, it's not too late! contact us.
