Entech Acquires Water Treatment Company, Expands Services

Thursday, June 23, 2022

Pittsburgh, PA – Entech Engineering, Inc. (Entech), a leader in water and wastewater engineering and consulting services in Pennsylvania, has acquired Stehle Consulting, LLC (Stehle), out of Valencia, PA. This is the second acquisition completed by Entech within a 10-month span.

Founded by Thomas Stehle, MS, an Environmental Chemist and Certified Water Operator, Stehle provided water treatment and consulting services to clients throughout western Pennsylvania.

Robert Weir, PE, Executive Vice President, offered:

“The acquisition of Stehle Consulting enhances our plant operation services with the addition of jar testing to fine-tune chemical dosing during the water treatment process and filter media analysis. Our team, led by Nick O’Hallaron, Water Treatment Consultant, has spent the last two years working with Stehle to further develop these services and to ensure a smooth transition for existing Stehle clients.”

Western PA Regional Director, Robert Horvat, PE, added,

“Stehle’s services, like plant operations consulting and operator training, were already a focus for us, so it was a natural fit. With many utilities being understaffed or struggling to stay current with regulatory requirements, we recognized what these additional services could do for the water industry, and we are ready to help.”

About Nicholas “Nick” O’Hallaron

A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Nick obtained his B.S. in Biological Sciences. During his time at Carnegie, he worked in the civil engineering department to perform independent grant-funded research into light-based methods to curb hydrogen sulfide biocorrosion in produced water pipelines. This research, based in electrochemical and microbial ecology principals led him to Virginia Tech to complete an M.S. in Environmental Engineering with a focus on water treatment. Upon graduation Nick joined Entech Engineering where he has spent the last six years providing engineering solutions to water plants, pipelines, pump stations, and facilities. He takes great pride in delivering on Entech’s operator-centric approach: designing and delivering solutions that are practical and user-friendly.
