Entech Announces Executive Vice President Promotion and New Corporate Board Appointments

Reading, PA - - Entech Engineering, Inc. (Entech), is pleased to announce the promotion of Bryon Killian, PE, Principal and Director of the firm’s Civil and Environmental Resources group, as the company’s new Executive Vice President, as well as two new members to its Board of Directors: Kara Humes, Senior Environmental Manager, and Bryan Haag, PE, Principal and Director of Energy and Utilities.

Entech’s President and Chairman of the Board, Robert Weir, PE, shared:

They have all been an integral part of our company for many years, helped develop our culture, and are proven leaders in the industries we work in. The Board consists of five Directors with diverse experience to assist in the development of strategy, long-term growth of the organization, and to ensure successful management of the firm. Humes and Haag replace outgoing board members Catherine Bieleski, SHRM and Jeffrey Euclide, PE who helped lead the firm through a period of tremendous growth during their terms. Together with Bryon Killian they are joined by Robert Weir, and Tanner Sattler, PG.

About Kara Humes:

A recognized leader in environmental management for both industrial and municipal clients, Kara Humes joins the Entech board with nearly 40 years of experience in the industry, with more than 30 of those years with Entech. Kara has an incredible gift for developing relationships through teaching and mentoring. Kara brings a wealth of industry board experience to the table, currently serving as the President of the Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA). She is also a leader in Entech’s Engineering Explorer Post, a program in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of America that provides high school students the opportunity to explore careers in engineering. An advocate for working women in Pennsylvania, she is an active member of the Pennsylvania Federation of Business and Professional Women (BPW/PA). Kara and her husband enjoy two sons, and her Goldendoodles. Though lifelong residents of northeastern PA, the Humes family members love cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers and travelling across the state to attend games at Heinz field. Kara also enjoys boating, kayaking and visiting local wineries.

About Bryan Haag, PE:

Bryan has a gift for building inclusive teams and developing full scale solutions for clients by leveraging his experience and financial knowledge as a business owner. He is frequently described by peers as visionary, entrepreneurial, and strategic. As Director of Utilities, Energy, and FCA Services, Bryan guides clients through building and utility systems condition assessments, planning, and design projects. He also works with clients to address energy and carbon reduction planning in conjunction with utility projects or as independent energy initiatives. Bryan graduated from Drexel University with a B.S. in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Focus. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland, a LEED AP® certified professional, and a Certified Energy Manager. Bryan began his career at Entech in 2003 and has been a Principal since 2013. He resides in Lebanon County with his family and is a dedicated fly fishermen and musician.

About Bryon Killian, PE:

Bryon joined Entech in 2002, was promoted to Principal in 2013, and assumed the position of Civil Environmental Resources Business Unit Director in 2022. He is passionate about taking care of the Entech team members and client relations, and always connecting resources and solutions with those that need them. As a member of the board since 2019 and the leader of the firm’s largest business unit, he brings a depth of firm and industry knowledge to his expanded leadership role as Executive Vice President. Bryon holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and is a Certified Wastewater Operator and a Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania. A native of Schuylkill County, where he still resides with his family, Bryon is an avid practitioner of the fast-paced No Gi Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
