Entech Welcomes Two Veteran Wastewater Operators

Monday, March 5, 2018

Reading, PA – We are proud to announce the recent addition of two veteran wastewater operators, Dale Miller, LO and H. David Miller, LO. The two bring 60+ years of combined wastewater operations experience to our team.

One of our strengths is our ‘operator-centric’ approach to wastewater design and problem solving. Instead of telling owners and operators what we will do at their plants or in their systems, we ask for and expect their input, then design from there.

“No one knows more about a plant than the people there day in and day out, so ignoring them would be extremely foolish,” explained Executive Vice President, Robert Weir, PE.

Over the years, this approach resulted in very successful projects, and extremely satisfied clients.

Robert Weir, PE further commented on Dale and H. David’s hiring:

“In working with Dale and H. David for the past 10 years as clients, I knew their skills would mesh perfectly with our ‘operator-centric’ approach to engineering and design. These gentlemen both possess excellent problem solving skills, communication skills, and hands-on knowledge. They will be essential conduits for information and ideas between wastewater owners and operators and our design teams.”

About Dale Miller, LO
Dale Miller, LO has always taken a hands-on approach at his wastewater plants, and he brings his problem solving skills to his new position at Entech of Operations Specialist. Dale has spent 20+ years at several plants in Pennsylvania – most recently with Exeter Township’s Wastewater Department.

Throughout his career Dale has displayed the engineering qualities of curiosity, desire to find a solution, and ingenuity that will make him a huge asset to our clients’ plants and systems. Dale is excited to extrapolate the passion that he historically imparted on his own plant to the many plants he will have the opportunity to work on with Entech. Furthermore, having experienced Entech’s ‘operator-centric’ way of designing as a client years ago, he knows the importance and value purveying that approach brings.

Dale is very involved with the Easter Pennsylvania Water Pollution Control Operators Association (EPWPCOA), serving as President in 2017 and currently on the board of directors. He is also a member of Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA) and Water Environment Federation (WEF). Dale resides in Exeter Township with his wife and two daughters.

About H. David Miller, LO

H. David Miller, LO brings 40 years of wastewater experience to his new role with Entech as a Senior Project Manager, also joining us most recently from Exeter Township’s Wastewater Department where he served as Assistant Superintendent.

H. David has a number of characteristics that are in line with Entech’s philosophy, including planning for the long-term and building relationships through quality and commitment. He looks forward to sharing that expertise with our team and clients in his new role. His mission in all wastewater activities is to protect our waterways, not only in Pennsylvania, but wherever his travels take him.

H. David said, “I have always been impressed with the breadth and depth of knowledge within Entech from the outside. Now as part of the team, knowing there is always someone here who not only can help, but is willing to help - no matter the obstacle, is really exciting to me.  Blending the technical knowledge and my perspective on real-world applications will improve project outcomes.”

H. David is a Past President of Easter Pennsylvania Water Pollution Control Operators Association (EPWPCOA), and currently on the board of directors. He is also a member of Pennsylvania Water Environment Association (PWEA) and Water Environment Federation (WEF). H. David resides in Sinking Spring with his wife.
