Rowan University Glassboro, NJ

Projects

Overview

Entech was selected to conduct a facility condition assessment for due diligence purposes of the Glassboro Student Housing facilities, which include a bookstore and three housing units totaling 490,000 square feet. Building systems were evaluated for life expectancy, and as a result of this survey, cost estimates and a full report were delivered.

The University again contracted with Entech to perform an additional facility condition assessment of selected facilities on the Glassboro Campus in 2013. The facilities surveyed included their central utilities plant, a gas meter house, facilities and maintenance shops, a greenhouse, a dormitory, as well as classroom, office, and theater buildings. The total square footage surveyed totaled approximately 472,000 and resulted in over $13 million in deferred maintenance costs, as well as over $35 million in project totals.

In addition, an assessment was performed for the Education and Research Building located in Camden, New Jersey, in 2013. The survey detailed $1.2 million in capital improvement, $2.8 million in capital renewal, $4.2 million in deferred maintenance, and $22,000 in studies, for a project total of $8.3 million. The building surveyed comprised 69,000 square feet.
